BICEP2 detects possible signals of gravity waves in the cosmic microwave background
In March 2014, the BICEP2 team published results showing evidence of gravitational waves imprinted on the polarization of the cosmic microwave background. This is a key prediction of the theory of inflation. For more details, check out Peter Coles‘ blog.
